Savage Axis trigger works

Got a Savage Axis Trigger. Easy to install. Improved the pull weight a lot. Happy with it.

Consistent quality, returning customer

This was my third purchase from Rifle Basix, this time for a Marlin 917 Trigger. As always, the quality is top-notch and consistent with my previous experiences for a Remington 700 and a Savage Mark II trigger. The installation process was just as straightforward, and the performance improvement was immediate. It's why I keep coming back – I know what to expect in terms of product quality and reliability. Shipping is usually pretty standard, not super fast but not slow either. They consistently deliver good products.

Good trigger, slow shipping

I ordered a Savage 110 Trigger for my rifle. The installation was straightforward enough for a DIY job, which I appreciated. The trigger itself is a definite upgrade over the factory one, much crisper pull. My only minor complaint was the shipping speed; it took 5 days to reach Denver, which felt a bit long. Overall, good value for the price, but could improve on delivery times.

Remington 700 upgrade was worth it

I decided to upgrade my Remington 700 with their trigger. The ordering process on the website was simple and I received an order confirmation quickly. Shipping took about a week, which was reasonable. The packaging was secure. Installation instructions were included and fairly clear; I watched a couple of YouTube videos to supplement them, but it was definitely a home install job. The quality of the trigger is noticeable – a much smoother, lighter break than the stock trigger. It's made a real difference in my shooting. I called customer service once with a question about adjustment and they were helpful and polite. A solid product all around.

Fantastic Ruger M77 MKII Trigger!

I just installed the Ruger M77 MKII Trigger and it's incredible! What a huge improvement over the original. The pull is so clean and consistent now. Installation was surprisingly easy, even for me. I'm so glad I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase. This trigger has totally transformed my rifle. You absolutely have to try it if you're looking for an upgrade. I'll definitely be buying from Rifle Basix again!

Does Rifle Basix ever do sales? Specifically looking for a Remington 700 trigger, seems like they're always full price.

L Lisa Patel 1 month ago
They definitely have sales, usually around big holidays like Black Friday or even hunting season openers. Keep an eye out then.

I got my Savage 110 trigger during a Cyber Monday sale last year, saved about 10-15%. Worth waiting if you're not in a rush.

What's the return policy like if I order the wrong one or just don't like it? Easy or a hassle?

C Chris 1 month ago
Pretty easy. I had to return an adjustment kit once and it was no big deal. Just make sure you follow their instructions on the site.

They have a pretty standard return window, I think it's like 30 days or so. Haven't had to use it myself, but heard good things.

How do these triggers stack up against something like Timney or TriggerTech? Is the quality comparable?

M Mark T. 1 month ago
I've used both and Rifle Basix is solid, especially for the price. Timney feels a bit more refined to some, but you're paying more for it usually.

My buddy swears by them. He says they're right up there with the big names for performance, especially for hunting rigs. Maybe not quite Jewell level for competition but excellent for most.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a Savage Axis trigger. Are these things really DIY installable or am I gonna need to find a gunsmith?

R Ryan Reyes 1 month ago
Yeah, they're pretty straightforward. I put one in my 700 and it wasn't bad at all. Plenty of videos online too.

It depends on your comfort level with small parts, but for most people, it's totally doable at home. Just follow the instructions.
